Man! I can't even begin to unveil the various types of evolutions and their conditions. Thanks to cards having their own will, there really is to end to possibilities you can achieve. But we are going to be talking about performing Link Evolution specifically. Before that let me explain evolution.
Evolution a monster can go through (Note, not all monsters can evolve. In fact only a roughly 25% are able to evolve out of 100%, so keep in mind that it is not that high of a chance. And a monster going beyond the first evolution is even lower than 10 percent, a monster going through more than two evolutions is lower than two percent and so on.
With Evolutions, sometimes your base monster will just go away and be replaced with a brand new card. Sometimes it's a temporary evolution, maybe an extra deck card or something you can tap into briefly for a period of time.
Here are some big things, evolutions have COOLDOWNS and they are turn based. For example, a monster can stay in a certain form for 3 turns before the form is over and the previous form must go back. There are many different scneraios with evolutions, so Colress has created a bot that will auto detect if somebody decided to chet with evolutions and stay out longer, or try and lie about how their evolution works. If caught, a bot will enter the duel room and said player will be warned, if continued he will be exiled, so when you get the terms and conditions for how your evolution works. Evolution takes a lot of energy from your monster, so be mindful on the impact it could have. Using one evolution could be so powerful to a certain monster, you won't even be able to use that monster for 1, 2, 3 ,4 , 5 and so on duels. Even hours or days, every card is different.
There are also evolutions that work similar to transcendence summoning, example the link summoning. These take much more power to use but you automatically can summon them during either players turn, dodging any trap or chain.
The tiers for dodging trap, spells and chains are this.
Level 1: Dodge any trap or spell or Monster effect (Only avoids one of these,on transformation. The last in the chain before the evolution.)
Level 2: Dodge any trap or spell or Monster effect (Avoids two in a chain, the last two that would go off.)
Level 3: Dodge any and all trap, spell or Monster effects regardless of how many.
Levels are given by TRAINING with said card, for example doing push ups with it. Running with it, bonding or eating with it.
Remember, the bot is very advanced to detect any cheating so play fair or you will be punished if you try otherwise.
Evolution is still growing, so go do your best!
